Cool Cat Cash: Seminars on Music Entrepreneurship and Careers

I want to play, to perform, I want the stage and to make a living from music… but HOW???
The path of a jazz musician often seems confusing, especially if you dream of reaching international stages. Where do you start? What should you avoid? Is there one right way?
We will talk about all this in “Cool Cat Cash”, the Lithuanian Jazz Union’s series of seminars on entrepreneurship and careers.
In the first seminar we will discuss:
What does a real musician’s career look like, from the first gigs to the international stage?
Where does “I’m playing for free” end and “I’m being exploited” begin?
What is the value of experience, audience development and knowing the international market?
How do you build your band’s identity and present yourself clearly to audiences?
Why is it important to learn from other artists, festivals and clubs?
How can the community become your strength?
Speakers:
Dmitrijus Golovanovas – jazz pianist, educator, President of the Lithuanian Jazz Union and artistic director of the jazz club Jazz Cellar 11.
Dorotėja Būdaitė – Chair of the Board of the Lithuanian Jazz Union, manager of JJA Music and Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble, Keychange leader and project manager.
