We're off to the EJN Conference

From 12 to 15 September, the Lithuanian Jazz Union will take part in the Europe Jazz Network (EJN) General Assembly and Conference in Ghent, Belgium.

This year, 422 participants from 39 countries have registered for the conference. Lithuania will be represented by Dorotėja Būdaitė, Chair of the LDF Board, and Dmitrij Golovanov, President of the LDF.

The European Jazz Conference is the most important annual gathering of professionals from the European jazz sector, especially promoters, cultural managers, agents, and national and regional support organisations. Since 2014, the Europe Jazz Network General Assembly has been expanded and is now open to all music professionals.

The European Jazz Conference features inspiring keynote speeches, high-level panel discussions, practical workshops, networking sessions for professionals from the creative music sector, cultural visits and a showcase festival of the host country's finest performers.

The European Jazz Conference is a unique event, the only one of its kind in Europe. Its aim is to build lasting connections, develop new projects and artistic collaborations, share experience, and learn about the latest trends in management and programming, as well as music scenes and diverse practices from around the world, including countries outside Europe.

The project is funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
